If anyone is interested in Oblivion the game is currently on sale on Steam for 75% off. You can get the Game of the Year edition for $4.99 or the Game of the Year Deluxe Edition for $6.24... I might pick it up just for nostalgia reasons...

Get the GoTY Deluxe. The DLC is cool, and worth $2.

Oblivion is such a great game. I honestly think the opening of Oblivion is more epic than Skyrim's. I felt more drawn in with the Emperor's struggle, and the voice acting and music in Oblivion. So epic. I can still hear the music in my head, even though I haven't touched the game in years.

Plus, with all the mods available, you can make the game practically look like Skyrim! </troll>

While I'll admit Oblivion was a fine game, it really wasn't great for me. It felt like a gigantic step back from Morrowind and the questing felt very...confined.

Skyrim really has hit a sweet spot between the two games and I'm enjoying it more than I ever did Morrowind, which is saying something.

Edit for clarity: The story could've been great. I mean, come on, Patrick Stewart!? The fact remains that Oblivion Gates absolutely destroyed the flow of the narrative for me. Not to mention the
    sudden death of the emperor
really killed it for me as well.

    Felt better
    killing the emperor yourself
    in Skyrim.
