penny deals

i'm thinking about pulling the trigger on one of these phones this weekend. i don't think i can say no to the penny deals. i desire the galaxy nexus but i dont want to wait a few more weeks and pay $290.

the plans will all cost me roughly $76/mo after tax and my company discount.

so my options are:

AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II 4G - i777
Pros: Faster than Skyrocket, Lots of ROMs/community support
Cons: No LTE, Smaller Screen, 2GB plan.

AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket - i727
Pros: Bigger screen, LTE for when its deployed in the area, a tad better battery life.
Cons: Frankenphone, not a lot of updates and community roms, slower, 2GB plan.

SPRINT Epic Touch 4G Samsung Galaxy S II
Pros: Unlimited Everything, Tower nearby home and work
Cons: Not the best national coverage, no 4g in Detroit, mediocre hacked ROM selection.

VERIZON Motorola Droid RAZR
Pros: Verizon's network
Cons: Shitty battery life, non-replaceable battery. Motoblur, 4GB data plan.

VERIZON HTC Rezound
Pros: Verizon's network, HTC unibody constructions
Cons: No idea on custom rom community, 4GB data plan, stupid "beats audio" headphones.

Leaning towards regular SGSII. Sale ends on Monday. Thoughts?

AT&T SGS2 is by far the most modable device, already having CM support due to its similarity with the int'l SGS2. It would be my personal choice. The SGS2 is already confirmed for ICS as well, and the AT&T device is most likely to get it first of all the official NA models.

Did you have AT&T service when you lived in the Detroit area? Was it as bad as everyone with an iPhone makes it sound?

I did, my BB was on AT&T for two years. Coverage was alright. No better or worse than what I've experienced in Canada, or had with Verizon for 3 years before that.
