Poor Matt. While I screwed around all weekend and did leisurely things, he was glued to his (admittedly nice) chair, with a constant stream of tea, popcorn, and music being fed into him while he furiously coded several new features into our little site in two and a half days' time.
Now we all get to enjoy the fruits of his labor, in the form of several epic new features:
First, we have the Icrontic Directories. These are handily compiled lists of all the things that people do, sorted alphabetically by username. You can use these to get an at-a-glance look at things like Playstation Network users, Facebook profiles, or Twitter feeds.
Make sure you put the appropriate information into your User Control Panel so that it shows up in the directories.
Next up, he VASTLY improved the default vBulletin user profile interface. He stripped out a bunch of unnecessary stuff and redesigned the whole look and feel from the ground up.
That last part is important - you can link directly to your user profile with a simple URL.
Finally, the third (and best, in my opinion) new feature are the Icrontic Blogs. Now, anyone with over 100 posts can use Icrontic as a blogging platform. We'll be keeping a careful eye on the blogs, and if your blog entries are compelling, timely, interesting, and topical, they may be promoted to the front page of Icrontic. This is your chance to become a prolific blogger! Consider these blogs to have a "built in audience", which could really jumpstart your budding writing career!

- No more buddy lists and walls. We all have Facebook for that stuff.
- Re-did it without tabs and dropdowns - needlessly complicated
- Your "real name" will take precedence over your username if you fill it in.
- The "Biography" is what appears right under your name.
- If you add a profile pic, it will appear next to your name.
- Add fields for specs on your computer... Finally!
- Writers will see their latest articles and news in the right column
- You can now link to your profiles as http://icrontic.com/members/primesuspect (or whatever your username happens to be. It's a nice clean link for you to use elsewhere - spaces DO work)
