I was hunting though my library of pontential buys on my PlayStation 3 video store last night when I came across something very peculiar. It was a Watchmen animated comic. When I first saw that, I was horrified that it was given the same treatment that Dead Space was, but i saw that each chapter of Watchmen was 1.99 USD, compared to the price of free that Dead Space was. This gave me a bit of hope that Watchmen was AT LEAST a bit more well done that Dead Space was.

So, on a whim, I bought the first chapter, which ran about a half an hour long. I read the graphic novel over the summer and I was hoping that this would do it justice. Right off the bat, theres something about Warner Brothers and some animation studio. Then, in a dark, almost scary voice I heard 'Rorschach's Journal, October 12th, 1985", and I knew this had beend one right.

Watchmen is much more animated than the Dead Space comic, it's almost like a movie. Text bubbles still appear, but they are dynamic and move with the characters. The scenes themselves look as if they took the panels directly from the comic, gave them animation, and put them on the PS3, it follows the comic EXACTLY. My only complaint is that every single voice in the comic (as of chapter 1) is done by the same guy, so Rroschach and Dr. Manhaattan sound alike, and the Nite Owls sound alike, with Nite Owl 2 having a faux-geriatric accent, and Silk Specter sounds like Nite Owl 1 pretending to be a girl.

If you haven't (for some odd reason) haven't read Watchmen yet, and you don't feel like buying it, and you own a PS3, I would recommend the animated novel because it's pretty much Watchmen, excepted its, uh, animated.

ALSO, Relient K and Ludo are going on tour. I already got my tickets for the 27th, so I just thought I was point that out of your a RK or Ludo fan.
