[BLOG] The chlorine in the night

As you can probably gather, I don't walk much. As I've been walking the last three nights, I have seen at least one out-of-the-ordinary thing on each trip.
Tonight it wasn't something seen so much as something smelled.
As I was walking through an exceptionally quiet part of my already quiet neighborhood, I was overcome by a cloud of intense chlorine smell. It was strong enough to stop me and start looking around for a WTF moment.
I never traced down the source, but I imagine someone was running a hot tub or something. Being that it's about 40 degrees out, that seems like an awesome idea.
The rest of my nightstalking was filled with thoughts of wild hot tub parties, vivid hedonistic fantasies about what people were doing in that hot tub at 1:15 in the morning in staid suburbia.
The reality was probably much more mundane; let me have my fantasies.
As far as technicalities go, this was a good walking night and a bad jogging night; I was more out of breath than normal at the end.
Alas, I will keep on slogging.
