[BLOG] The rabbit in the night

It was kind of a crappy walking night. I only walked a mile and a half because I don't want to strain anything. I took a three mile bike ride this afternoon, which I probably wasn't ready for yet, especially at the pace I rode at. I think I may have slightly strained something in my right knee. It kind of hurts a tiny bit, but nothing major. My legs were total jelly this afternoon for a couple of hours after my ride, but I felt good about walking tonight until I got a few blocks away. My knee started to ache a bit, so I decided to cut it short so that I can keep walking tomorrow instead of hurting myself. It's not a total loss; I consider a three mile bike ride and a mile and a half walk pretty good exercise for the day.
The theme for most evenings seems to be rabbits. I have seen one every night I've been out. I always call it "the rabbit" but I see many different ones; the problem is, they all look exactly the same. I take wildly different routes every time I go out, so I know it cannot possibly be the same rabbit. If it is, I guess it's my spirit animal or something and I should make friends with him. Per my friend Jason's suggestion, I brought a handful of mini carrots with me tonight and dropped them around where I saw him. Hopefully he enjoys.
I also saw a skunk tonight. Actually I smelled him a good half a block before I saw him, but then I saw him slinking along between houses. You can't mistake a skunk, because of their wacky tail. In all my 32 years, with many of them spent in the woods of northern Michigan, I have only seen two wild skunks (well, alive anyway) and this was my second. Weird.
Back to rabbits, they got me thinking about sex toys, and that led me down a delicious path that got me forgetting about my knee, and skunks, and brings me to this evening's motivational fantasy.

also, good idea keeping your walk short. no point in hurting yourself and having to stay off it for a while. are we gonna hear about progress, or is that something you're keeping for yourself for a while?
One thing that's a great motivator is the weather. I find I enter a bit of a slump during the winter season. I hate the cold, lack of sunlight, and the snow, so I sort of slink into a realm of inactivity. But when it warms up, when the sun comes out, that gives me power. I'm always willing to get out and workout when the weather is beautiful. When you spend your days inside in front of a computer display and you see the sunlight beating down outside, it's always rewarding to get out and feel that warmth.
LOL at the image of rabbits as sex toys. I missed going out on a walk the last two days. Been terribly busy, I hate that. Gotta go for a walk later.
You know one problem I always had with my ex? She's kind of lousy in bed. She gets hurt while we're doing it if I'm rough, and she can't do multiple orgasms because after that she gets too sore. Tough luck eh? She always finishes before I do, too, and that's a real bummer.
