I am in a van with my mother, father, sister, and her husband. I sit here with my Ipod playing some Saftysuit and my lapper on my lap. Obviously I don't have any Internet access since I am sitting in a car on my way to a funeral in Jersey. I've never been a huge fan of Jersey but I have only been there a hand full of times, every time was to visit my Uncle Jerry. My uncle was the man, he was a motor head to the core. He loved cars, he has had many I think now between him and my cousin Josh they own around 15 cars Including a 1965 Fort T bird convertible a ford falcon with a 400 boss motor and several Chevy Monte Carlo's. I distinctively remember visiting them when I was 15. At that time I lived in Fl and it was my first time on a plane. I remember landing and driving from Phili to Lawrenceville , NJ. 3 weeks of pure fun. Hanging out with Josh and playing WWF wrestling in the pool and walking to the pizza shop and eating there everyday ( chicken Alfredo pizza FTW ! ) then going to Kb toys and also to a CD store. BUT the memory that is the brightest of that trip is sitting on a stool next to my uncle while he was teaching me to sand blast the rust off a custom bumper for his old ford truck. Its a shame that truck has seen better days now but 11 years ago we worked on it together and it was a piece of beauty.

It seems unfair that my uncle was taken at his age. I mean he wasn't too old but wasn't young either. I guess its just because I was always thinking I would get back to NJ for a chunk of time and hang out and work on cars once again. I was in NJ last summer ( 08 ) I got to spend some time with him and work on his house and all but it wasn't the same. My Uncle Jerry was the guy who lived the pranksters life, He was always funny and you never knew weather he was serious or not. I wasn't even born but I can picture him doing what he did to my father when they were visiting years ago, My mom and dad were newly married and came to NJ to visit him and his wife Joyce. My father says he was in the bathroom when my Uncle came in to the room with his wifes nighty on and was snapping a towel and pinching my dads butt. That is a classic picture of my uncle. Always fun

Any who I am about to cross into Jersey. And I am having a hard time typing right now. Ill type up some more after the funeral and reception.

Well I made it out alive, I went through about a ½ box of tissues. It was good closure and great to see my aunt and cousin. My nose was constantly running. Great memories and awesome times afterwards at the reception. I am sitting in the Van in the back seat with my family and just laughing it up with them of all the great times my uncle supplied us with! Like when he was in the coast guard everyone hated the captain of the ship. So he took a dump in a bag and swapped it with the bag of cookies for the captain. The captain every night received a bag of cookies and always ate them while doing his briefing. This night he reached in and grabbed a pile of crap. The captain then stuck my uncle in charge of finding the “ Phantom Shitter “ Oh the great times and stories. My aunt is going to come and visit in a couple weeks and that will be awesome.

I would encourage everyone who has ever lost someone to go to the funeral, It has helped me tremendously. I loved my Uncle and he was an awesome guy, So to cap this off , Good bye Uncle Jerry I love you and I'll see you one day again!
