After what they did with Portal 2 I think this is a bit too simple to be for real.

Nah, I'm calling it a fake. Domain is registered to a David Hanssen or something. Every official Valve domain is registered to Valve Corporation

That, and it tracerts to somewhere in the Asian Pacific.

whois and tracerts are cool and all, but the fact that Reddit had nothing to say about it was evidence enough for me :)

This is a good opportunity to remind all of you that HL2 Episode 2 was released over four years ago.

    Valve are dicks.
  • You won't be saying that once they release an amazingly mind blowing game.

@ardichoke but what if they don't WHAT IF THEY DON'T
  • Of all video game manufacturers out there, Valve is the one I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt to.

Oh, and that whole "domain is registered to David Hassen" thing? Yeah, that domain has private registration. Meaning the whois data is all obscured anyway. That's not a good enough reason (IMO) to declare it a hoax. It could be Valve starting their elaborate hype Rube Goldberg machine.

Of course, that said, I'm inclined to believe it is a hoax as well.

Even though the video itself pertains to a different topic, this is still my exact same reaction.
