How's the build quality? So many budget and mid-priced coolers seem flimsy (which is why I like to buy Noctua products). We usually use NH-D14s although due to budget cuts, I had to step down to NH-U9s. Would this be a good replacement for the NH-U9 in an upcoming build?

The fins feel pretty thin, but I've been using it for a few weeks now and I can't argue with the results.

I bet the CM Hyper 212+ performs just as well as this for half the price.
  • Do you know why most computer fans have an odd number of blades? I do. It is so in case you somehow break or damage a blade, you can't just cut off the opposite blade to maintain the fans balance and keep using it. It forces you to buy a new fan! I'm all over these people and their scams, they don't fool me!

I, for one, avoid sticking my fingers in the fan while it's running.
  • This would work wonders in my old Dell.

If the fan has an odd number of blades, no single blade is opposite of another
  • Yes. I just said that.

Go derp, I read "can't" as "can". Was utterly confused and I'm leaving my comment as evidence of my foolery.
