Is my Hard Drive DoA?

Bought a 2TB Seagate ST2000DM001 a few days ago. Just now have had the chance to install it into my machine. No matter what I have tried BIOS never recognizes it. I flashed BIOS, I used SATA cables I knew were good and I used SATA slots I knew worked.

Whenever I have have the 2TB drive plugged in, POST takes about twice as long like it's trying to find the drive but can't turn it on or something. Says "searching for IDE devices" and then doesn't find it but boots up as usual. I've never had a drive show up DoA before so I'm not sure whether or not it's actually gone or not. My computer is too loud to tell if anything is spinning but the drive never seems to get warm.

Is it RMA time?

Check for BIOS updates, enabling any SATA options pertaining to large drives in BIOS and if you have a USB-to-SATA kit and another working PC around, you can verify if that PC sees it or not.

P45 should support 2TB no problem. Probably DOA.
