EPIC Arrival and Departure Calendar

I'm driving in from Oklahoma City. If anyone is on the way, I'd be willing to discuss a ride share. Just PM me.

Depart: 19 June, possibly arrive same day
Return: 24 June, likely arriving home the next day.

    Straight shots, gentlemen. Also, we paid for two icrontic taxis, but that's just because I couldn't find public transit that would allow you kids to sleep in. Does such transit exist? Is there an easier way to do this?

    There's no good public transit in the Metro Detroit area. A cab would cost you around $50 per trip. Not worth it.

    Ninja and I are in on the 20th, leaving on the 25th. Have car.

    Times that I posted in the other thread are now tentative due to possible flight changes but should be in the same ballpark of times. Will move that info here when solidified.

    @Myrmidon your flight from Detroit to LA is right about the same time as ours. You have the option of heading along with us if needed. Of note, do not sign up for the Spirit Credit Card if offered while on your flight. They will promise you enough points for 3 round trip flights (1500) and you will later find out that they do indeed, if you are jotting to Las Vegas or Sac Town from LA within a specific 3 weeks span. In total it is 25% short on points for a 1 way ticket to Detroit (2000 1 way). Fuck those guys. Also print out your boarding pass at home and bring water, peanuts and a pillow/blanket if you want it. They will Jefferson and Hamilton you for each of the above if you want them while in flight.

    I have a choice of either:

    Flight
    Southwest
    Depart: 8:15am - 2:45pm, June 19
    Return: 4:45pm - 9:20pm, June 23

    Most expensive but quickest and safest.

    OR

    Train
    Amtrak
    Vastly cheaper (~$200) but much longer (almost day and a half) plus much more insecure.

    Hmm choices. I'm also willing to share a room to help save on costs if someone needs it.

    I don't get the "insecure" part...

    Flight is probably best, but a train lets you bring more stuff. Either way, the Icrontic Taxi Service will pick you up from the airport or the train station.

    I would absolutely take the train if it was cheaper.If nothing else so I could be as cool as Drasnor and join the arrive for EPiC on a train.

    Paranoia mostly. I've got some irrational fears, and just a bad history with trains. Also the +3hr stop at Chicago is kinda ugh.

    The main trouble is trying to weigh if I'll lose too much money from the flight, that I may need later on. A few unknown variables for that though so I can't figure that out just yet. :I

    Arrive to ICHQ sometime on 19 June

    Leave ICHQ sometime on 24 June, drop Q off
    Get home 25 June.
