HP hangs at HP logo at startup

Hi guys,

Its been a long time. i have an HP G60 laptop and when i boot it up it just hangs at the HP Logo. I can't boot from a disk i cant do anything. It gives me options of hitting esc, f2, f9, However if i hit for example F9 right away to enter the boot order it starts to load but goes no further. I am stuck on ideas here. I changed out the ram with no avail

Sounds like a BIOS issue or mobo going out. If you can't get to the BIOS setup screens, you are probably SOL, but I've not dug very deep.

It's possible, but unlikely, that replacing the BIOS battery would help. Cheap and low time cost to try though

yea i had a few laptops around i wanted to try switching them out but they are all different connectors. never easy.

Strange that they would choose to do that instead of using a standard socket. http://www.amazon.com/HP-CQ50-CQ60-CMOS-BATTERY/dp/B004UADLWA <$5 but you'd have to wait and not even sure if it'll work. :/

Tried the BIOS recovery she just keeps beeping away with no results..
