Prolly just adds support for the new mice (the MX900, among others).

I used to not use the drivers, but I decided to start as the battery warning is handy, as well as the button programing.

did you find any way to speed up the wheel scroll speed back to normal?

Whats normal? In the mouse options in your control panel it has an option to set scroll size in lines. I never really noticed a difference between the two. What mouse do you use? (I have an mx500)

i don't know how to explain it really. when i use the default windows drivers, it scrolls one line at a time. when I use the mouseware drivers, it's like either 3 or 7 lines at a time, but it's so slow to scroll up and down. i hate it.

What I seem to have noticed is that when I run mouseware I can't get a game to recognize the back and forward buttons on my MX500. For example if I want one of those buttons set to melee and I hit it on the bind screen, if mouseware is installed and in a stock configuration the button will come up as 'alt'. Now if I don't use mouseware, the game recognizes it as button 5, or 4 and it works perfectly. So I think mouseware is worse for gaming just on a compatibility issue. It will still work, you just have to manually bind the back and forward buttons to a key, which is only slightly annoying when you have to rebind them every time. Now if they had a profile option, I'd give it another shot.

I know what you mean, but I've only ever had that problem in IE with my MX500. It was fixed with the last generation of Mouseware drivers (9.79), so it will hopefully also be fixed in this generation.

I've never had a problem with Mouseware not recognizing my MX500's forward and back buttons in my browser. I don't use them in games though.

The buttons are identified correctly with the games I've played (like Halo, with an MX700 mouse). I'd bet it wasa problem with an earlier version which they have since fixed.
