Holy frog, and the camo suit and silenced weap? You guys've done well! I ended up with a weapon some drink and food and a sidearm with ammo and made it back out into the woods without complication and figured I just won the game there.
@Theironhand Is that the campsite we set up Wednesday? It looks like you guys have been busy last I was on we barely had enough kit to fill a backpack.

Don't have much good stuff to trade - I am interested in how you found the vehicles. Every spawn location we've looked at so far has had nothing. Any advice?
Some guys left there vehicles outside of the north west airfield while they we're looting it, that's how we found the van and the truck. Then the pickup we found near a house, but we lost the van and pickup yesterday during an ambush, but we made it back to the camp and our truck, Jeep, 2 bikes and motorcycle were still there.
Anyways finding vehicles is very hard, since there is only 20 on every server, which most of them are being held up in camps. I think you should ditch looking at the spawns and look in the very sides of the maps and the corners, that's where huge military camps are located.
I wonder how this is going to effect the population. I think at this point 75% of the people that own Arma II own it almost exclusively for DayZ. Will people be less likely to buy effectively the same game twice, or since they are working on "The Minecraft Model" will people not mind picking it up again for 5-10 bucks. Or will all the people like me, who didn't want to pay 20 bucks for it, make up for the difference.
I don't mind spending another $20 on the game, it's amazing, I haven't played a game like DayZ in a long time. However I am going to miss playing on Chernarus map (the current map), there creating a new one to fit the zombie theme.
@UPSLynx Not at all, I've got a map on me and I'm sure @Theironhand has like 50 at this point just get online, give us a few landmarks to work with and we'll make our way to you.
Everyone still on US 1237? Last I left my person she was out in some woods west of the power lines coming out of the west end of Cherno. What's a good time to play?
Well scratch the 50 maps lol. We lost all of our stuff to a hacker on our server, he basically gained control over the server and restarted it. But I still have my stuff on me, also I'm looting the northwest airfield this night, so @UPSLynx and @Ilriyas, and anyone else if you guys want to come with I'll be in the vent room.
We'll be using US 1472, It's has a low population, and we'll meet up in vent, and once everybody who wants to be there is there we'll switch over to Skype.
I figured out how to use vent ingame, you go to your setup and find the voice option, you disable PTT (Push to talk), so you no longer have to use left control to speak, you just speak.
Forgot about TF2 night, so attention everyone who wants to come, the DayZ airfield raid will be right after the TF2 night today, I would say about 12:00PM or 1:00AM.
Poopsquirrels! I could just about do 10 but early day tomorrow means ain't gonna happen for me. Also, I can't find US 1472 on the Six Launcher. Maybe I have a different version?

It's fine, I'll save some loot for you :P, and the server owner changed the number, it's now US 405 (Hosted by Capt hazzard)
Well I went out to raid the airfield by myself (no one came). I got there in 10min, and in total I spent a little over 20min in the airfield, I did get into a gun fight with another guy, he was shooting at me from the fire station when I shot him once and he fell off the fire station. I also searched every military spawn building there and here is the list of things I got.
AIRFIELD LOOT 8/7/2012 X-M16 ACOG X-4 30 round AK ammo X-Range finders X-CZ 550 (Sniper I found in a barn near the NWAF) X-Another set of night vision And the crown jewel was the 2 Coyote backbacks (24 slots) i found in the Barracks. X-2 AK-74 X-AKM
EDIT I also forgot to add the Remington shotgun and the M104 (Shotgun as well) that I found. I only picked with the M16, the AK ammo, Rangefinder. CZ550, the night vision and 1 of the Coyote packs. I got a GPS as well.
I also feel like sharing my NWAF raid plan with everybody.
Sorry I didn't show up mate, by the time Catan finished I honestly didn't feel like doing anything else that night, if you want to try something tonight though I'm totally in.
Very cool battle plan! Reminds me of the college days... Also, something is wrong with me. I can't connect to any server you guys are mentioning. US 405 is showing running 1.7.2.3 and apparently I have 1.7.2.4

Yeah, those servers are hosted by Defcon, the world's most terrible server provider. So there constantly changing names and apparently the versions of the mod.
One day, we decided we would loot the NW Airfield. We prepared by running to the SE side of the airfield. Present company was @Pragtastic, @TiberiusLazarus, and @NiGHts. Whilst approaching we learned of the worlds strange habit of blinking in and out of existence every 6 hours. After the world came back into focus, it had a strange habit of stretching time. We decided therefore that we needed a new world.
After the dreaded Day-Z server searching, we all decided on a new server. Upon all reaching a new server, we discovered that @TiberiusLazarus had spontaneously copied himself to Cherno. His honor was in question, but upon discovering this was through no fault of his own, all was forgiven.
Not wanting to be assuaged of our fateful task, we crept carefully into the NW Airfield a man down. With great caution and foreboding, we made our way into the first hanger. No loot was to be found. As we meant to leave, we saw numerous dreadfuls chasing a poor sniper towards the SW barracks. Poor fellow.
Upon the news that the poor fellow was within range of delivering any one of us a swift death, the group decided that they would then approach only the NE barracks and then leave.
Meanwhile on his arduous journey back to the NW airfield, @Tiberiuslazarus had the unbelievably good fortune to happen upon an untended bus. The glory that was to happen began. He quickened his way to the NW airfield at tremendous speed.
The group still at the NW airfield was to find only disappointment in the field of military loot. With the allknowing power of communication, they headed post haste to the East of the airfield to meet up with the heavily loaded bus and reunion with their lost companion.
Great celebration was in order upon discovering the particularly overloaded bus full of weapons and munitions. All members of the party were able to find the most delightful means of delivering swifter death.
Now that the quest was fulfilled of finding the great stash, and, more importantly, the vehicular transportation, the group no longer knew what to do! Upon transporting themselves to the upper NW corner of the map, they practiced with the new weapons and found killing unmentionables was now dreadfully easy, a new quest needed to be found. The group decided to travel to the North EAST corner of the map. Unbeknownst to the group, the world had been filling with other questers, notably, one dishonorable gentleperson with aimbot.
The journey through Starry Sobor and Novy Sobor met with no incident. Upon reaching Gorka, the world began to end. The dishonorable began picking us off at range. First Kenkel was shot in the head, which was a tremendous feat since the bus was travelling at a wonderful speed of 45 kmph. Jimmy was then vanquished quickly thereafter in a similar fashion.
Prag and myself continued on in the hopes of hiding the bus and the remaining loot. Such was not to be our fate. Whilst travelling through Berezino, we were again accosted by the strange dishonorable hacker, which we now regarded in no greater regard than a large horde of zombies.
The bus carried us as far as Orlevets, where Pragtastic and I were dispatched from the cruel world with no more effort than a common 1866 would do with two dreadfuls at 50 meters.
The bus, having delighted us for longer than an hour, was to be no longer in our control. The group had gotten a very serious bit of knowledge: one does not flaunt the possession of a vehicle.

This is me.
Here is a picture of our truck and van, we also have a pickup truck, but it's not in the picture.
And lastly here is our weapon stash, we have much more when we scroll, and ton's more in the van and pickup.
And it's on another server.
It's thermal.
