Micron's DDR-II Chips Validated by Intel

edited February 2004 in Science & Tech
[blockquote]Micron Technology announced that its DDR-II chips with all densities had been validated by Intel Corporation. The company, who now produces DDR-II DRAMs in quantities, will have an advantage over competitors, as it is yet the only memory firm to validate practically the whole next-generation memory lineup with the world’s leading chipmaker.

Validation and production availability of all 256Mb, 512Mb and 1Gb DDR-II chips provides the foundation for multiple module solutions for notebook, desktop, and server computing products.[/blockquote]

Expect to see those DIMMS available on http://www.crucial.com/ almost as soon as they are in mass production and boards exist at workstation grading for those new Intel chips that are also stable boards. Crucial sells MT-mfr'd DIMMs. MT owns Crucial.com. Micron Technology uses MT for logo on modules.
