I don't know if the rest of you have ever run into this problem, but I occasionally find myself wishing I could right-click a link I only have in text and save it instead of having to actually navigate to the web address in question. This happened again today, and I decided there was probably a web page that solved the problem somewhere. And I found one. If anyone else has a better/interesting tool for this (nb4 giggity), or a better method that I didn't think of before writing this, toss it up :D

    I see a chrome extension Clickable Links that does what I think you're trying to do. It turns plain text links into active links so you can "save as" from there.

    I do this the old-fashioned way:

    Highlight plain text link in email;

    Ctrl+C

    Open Browser;

    My browser opens to a blank page;

    Ctrl+V into address bar of browser;

    Page opens from link and I have a check that link works;

    Open an email client;

    Ctrl+V into the message writer window' text entry box;

    Send email to myself at one of my email addresses.
