I got my tour completion loot and the surplus stuffs. I had an issue like that when I completed a mission that I'd already done on a tour, got no loot for it. I don't know if it's a bug or what, but it's annoying.
Glad to hear your tour completed. Must be a bug with the new maps as the old ones let you get surplus loot if you already completed that one on your current tour. Oh well, at least I had fun and it didn't cost me anything.
For my personal use, whenever possible, I screen cap all the loot.
I can take a look at the shots from last night when I get home. If I recall correctly there was indeed 3 surplus tickets. I'll see what I can see from the screenies and let you know.

I show that you received just three weapons. This would make sense as there were three surplus tickets and you already had the mission so you did not use the TOD ticket nor get robot parts. What doesn't make sense is the screeny shows both your TOD and SS getting used. If you still have them then the bug definitely worked in your favor.

and so.... you guys don't fap to your loot?
I didn't get the normal loot screen, but I did see the ticket ripping animation. When I went to my backpack I saw no new loot and the tickets were still there. Free loot for my teammates though, woot woot!

Oh, Digi "liked" it. I will now always watch my back when he is playing Engie.
So I hate the Phlog. I know it does more damage than the other flamethrowers, but I feel that does not make up for the fact that it lacks the ability to juggle or reset the bomb. I get a lot of crap for using the backburner in MvM, but I feel that with the crit damage, it does a justifiable amount of damage. My MO with the pyro is to circle around and hit enemies from behind, especially the giant bots. With the Back Burner critting from behind this makes short work of most enemies. Am I being a noob, or is this a decent strategy?
The phlog is a dps weapon for tanks. You need to balance max dps with average dps, a result of having to hide to live and catch enemies. As a pyro you need do need to be able to bounce bots and deflecting crit missles....yeah you need that. Stick with it. If people say you have to play with the Phlog or be kicked just leave because they probably think Southern Hospitality is needed for engies.
I puff my chest out reading that and knowing I (and a few of you would be in the same boat) have beaten Advanced+ missions with almost all of those players on my team at one time or another. We're that good.

Can vouch, Digi has banana peel teleported us to death many a time and not been able to stop mighty victory.

That feel when you get kicked for playing sniper though...
So I played medic for the first time last night. Here's my experience and thoughts on that. My loadout was the default syringe gun (never used), stock medi gun, and uber saw (used only once to take out a spy). I think next time I will go with the kritzkrieg and just buy uber canteens. Playing medic was fun, there was a lot to do, but I couldn't help feeling useless because I wasn't doing damage. I'm pretty sure I did ok, only a few deaths and was quickly able to revive people, but it was hard to change mindset of where to keep your focus. Usually I'm trying to slow down a group of bots with a Natascha, or holding big ones in place with Rocket Specialis, whereas medic needs to focus on where all the team members are, what position they are going to be moving into, and they're current health numbers.
Taking care of the team takes a lot of focus rather than the multiplayer medic either pocketing someone for a run or staying at the front and giving attention to whoevers bold enough to charge in. There's also the issue of callouts. In multiplayer if people are getting low on health they'll call out, medic is seen as a bonus to people playing Multiplayer. In MvM, it's just your job to keep everyone overhealed so you have to keep an eye out for people getting hurt. You're taking the place of a damage class so you need to make up for that by keeping everyone happy and helping them to do more damage and spend less time running back for health packs or worse, waiting for respawn. I have my auto notify set to 40% health. In MvM, 40% is dead if you aren't already retreating. There should be a separate health slider for MvM that you could set to 80 or 90%. The shield was kind of tricky to get the hang of, trying to block projectiles while occasionally looking back to change healing targets.
Like Prime said, it worked. Upgrade path when I medic is usually shield and share canteens asap. Then I usually focus uber charge rate. Focus is stay alive, keep others alive, revive when possible. Communicate so you don't end up leaving the front line to help someone who buys back in right before you get to them. Chain canteens with charge and shield for crazy position sustain.
If I remember correctly, ubering a dead play will instantly bring them back.
One quick tip that not a lot of people pick up is when you are sharing your canteen, the person you are healing will get the buff for the duration of the buff even if you stop healing them. So if I am targeting a Soldier and I pop a Kritz canteen, he start lobbing missiles of death, I can then switch over to healing the heavy or bringing the demo back to life while Soli continues to rain down exaggerated damage.
To theory craft that a bit, with 3 uber canteens and a medigun, you could pop the three canteens on three different targets and then pop your uber on a 4th target making 5/6 on your team invulnerable for a short time. (I've not actually tried this and it depends on if you can pop an uber canteen while you are uber, I don't see why you wouldn't as engi can pop building upgrades when there is no buildings without a problem )
Come to think of it, barring the 5 Soli round, throughout both missions we did last night, did we even fail 1 round?

Pro bonesaw kit
specialized Tomislav kit
Strange Australium Flamethrower
I can't believe it. I am in utter shock.
This was last night. Dat orbit. horrible shot cause bots were right there as you can see.
Just finished up my 6th tour on Two Cities. No Trooster Gold but 2 hats and 4 kits isn't a bad haul!
Saw this on r/tf2. I'm the bottom left square!
I have encountered so many of those

Any tips on what order to upgrade?
Well all I can say is that whatever you did WORKED, because we absolutely wrecked that last mission.
It's true, your shields were exceptional. I have no clue how to medic and I admire you for not only giving it a shot but doing it so well.
