Is there a way using regedit to change where windows 7 saves user files on a different drive than the system files. I have searched here for it but cannot find a way. I recall using a method I believe I found here on Icrontic to change a command string is the registry to do this. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

From googling "change user profile location windows 7": http://www.windows7hacker.com/index.php/2009/05/how-to-change-user-profile-default-location-in-windows-7/

is that what you are looking for?

Reg editing isn't strictly necessary in most cases. You can also right click any of the major folders (Documents, Music, Video, etc) and go to properties. From properties, you will be able to change the location of that folder and move it to another partition, another drive, etc.

If all you want to do is change where My Documents is, do that instead of messing with your registry. There's no point.
