Restoring system after RAID issue

edited February 2004 in Hardware
Using the onboard RAID controller of my NF7-s, I created a RAID 0 array. My plan is (or was) to make an image of my current disk using Symantec Ghost, send the image to a computer on the network, create the array using the original drive and a second identical drive, and re-image the array with the previous setup's data.

The problem is after creating the array, Ghost's boot disk is unable to write to the array. Ghost can see the "drive", and it is of the correct size. But when I go to send the image to the array, Ghost complains it cannot see the NTFS information on the array.

I had already quick-formatted the new array and I am now in the process of full-formatting it. Should this fix the problem? or will I need some sort of DOS RAID driver for this to work?

Well, after a successful full NTFS format with Windows XP (I installed it to another drive), Ghost continues to have problems loading the "NTFS MFT table".

I'm out of ideas. Anyone know what's up?

Turns out the trouble I was having with getting Ghost to image the array was due to the latest SATA/RAID BIOS (21). I rolled back to the previous version, and now the array is taking the image just like it should.
