Recommend RAID config for photoshop user

hi
im a phototweaker
running raid0[default stripe 64] on promise 20272 currently
getting hpt 374

now that i can choose[ my filesizes are 3-35mb photoshop]

what do you suggest for stripesize
others say 128 perfecto

also ive got 2 plus9 8mb hd s

looks like after forum readings highpoint may need jumpers at cable select
is this correct?

    I would say a 64K Stripe for your raid with filesizes like that. Not sure about Highpoint jumper settings - I would say cable select, i mean, I use it and it works fine.

    I have never seen advantages with ide drives beyond a 32k stripe for any usage. To much of the theory on raid and stripe size is based on scsi not ide drives and they are two differnat beats.
