  • Ah Sony... masters of removing features post-launch. How do they expect to build their customer base when they do this?

This was done in conjunction with Panda Group. Panda has been moving towards a unified CPU and GPU client so WUs are not unique. One of the reasons they are saying this is "equal work and equal points" by introducing time factors on all clients. Granted this raises a lot of questions given their massive change on bigbeta.

The original f@h client for the PS3 was developed by sony and rather useful in regards to production. Currently the production, ppd, value of a PS3 is very low in comparison, coupled with the possibility of an entire rewrite of the client to work with fragmented architecture that is the PS3 platform; shock is not present. Granted there is also a fringe idea that given the chance to drop the f@h client Sony jumped at it in regards to attempting to cut out some possible RMAs the client would cause.
