cpu-z not matching memory advertised speed... Need help with bios settings

I have 4x8gb ram Corsair CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10 and CPU-Z shows PC3-12800j(800 MHz) when it should be 1600.
I've only just now realised that I need to tell the pc what kind of ram I have and I have no idea how to set up XMP, frequency, timings or voltage. I have I7 cpu and Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 motherboard.
PLEASE HELP!

Please post a screenshot. If CPU-Z is reading 800MHz, your memory is probably at the correct speed. DDR3-1600 runs at 800MHz.

Your memory is running at the correct speed.

800MHz = DDR3-1600 = PC3-12800.

Your second set of screenshots shows your RAM running at DDR3-667 speeds, which would indicate that all of the RAM is running at the speed of the slowest module(s). If that's not the case, enter the PC BIOS and manually set the clocks to DDR3-1600 speeds and use the timings labelled on the memory sticks,.

how come the pc is running so poorly when i have 32 gb in comparison with when I have 24?

To enable XMP memory profile:
-Open BIOS settings at boot (DEL)
-Load Optimized Defaults to confirm a "normal" setup
-Change any boot order SATA settings or other settings you know need to be changed
-Go to "MB Intelligent Tweaker"
-Go to "Advanced Memory Settings"
-Choose the XMP option and enable Profile 1
-Hit F10 to save and exit

Be specific about "running so poorly"

running so poorly , it take twice the time for windows 7 to start, I can usually run 12 clients of one game(multiboxing) but now it hangs after 2-3, clicking on menus everywhere take time to get a respond and load

I would try removing a single stick at a time and see if performance gets better, after following my instructions. You bought 4 identical sticks of new RAM?

strange thing is that pc runs good with 2x4 + 2x8, but hangs with 4x8 thats all
so i did a memory check on all 8gb sticks and no errors were reported

ive followed you previous instructions with regards to xmp option and i get error msg "overclocking failed"
I did that windows memory check that runs when pressing tab during loading

Try updating your BIOS and report when you encounter a problem, as we can't assist if we don't know what happens.

im in the process of inserting and removing the memory sticks
will try to update bios after that

after testing 8gb in every memory slot the conclusion is that pc runs better with 4gb stick then with 8gb

i had 2x4 1333 9-9-9-24 and 2x8 1600 10-10-10-27and i bought new 2x8 10-10-10-27 the other day same model and all

Okay, make sure one of the brand new sticks is in the 0 slot (though it shouldn't make a difference). Try to enable XMP again, but make sure that the "performance boost" type feature is on standard or regular, not turbo.
