You know what? I've heard a lot of complaints about the keyboard, but I'm a fan. I'd say I'm typing at about 85% of my normal keyboard speed, without any warm-up time.

Maybe it's because I grew up with an Atari 400, but this Chiclet keyboard feels fine to me.

RT or Pro? Are the Pros even out yet?

I actually didn't even notice which one it was.

Had to be RT, Pro still stated as "early 2013" on Microsoft.com
  • Does it work as a tablet without the keyboard? How well does the tablet work?

Pro isn't out yet. Our MS reps stopped by a couple weeks ago with a few RTs. I really want one, but the price point is just too high with the keyboard. I really love it as a tablet though.

Oh god don't say it's like an Atari 400, I'll set it on fire. Maybe the other keyboard cover is at least like an 800

I've been using Windows 8 on my desktop since release day, so I'm very used to the interface by now. In every respect that I tested, the tablet functioned exactly like my Windows 8 desktop. It was a perfectly natural transition. I didn't really have any doubts at all or hesitation on how to use anything.
