replace a stolen laptop

So our home was broken into on Friday and we lost a tons of stuff, Insurance will probably cut us a check to replace most of it, My ipad was among the stuff stolen. I am looking to replace it with a thin laptop that can play starcraft II at about 600 max. I haven't been in the PC market for a while and Don't really care if it has windows 8 or not. Any suggestions?

    Um, if your ipad had a locator app on it, you might be able to track it.

    As to what to get foir a thin laptop, I do not know about the game so will have to let others take up that part.
