Removing the GPU from the BB Asus G72
I have a G72 that I bought from Best Buy a few years ago and the temperatures have slowly been creeping up since then. I figured an easy solution would be to replace the thermal pads on the north bridge and the CPU/GPU with some good thermal paste. I got into the CPU easily and was able to reapply the paste but I'm having trouble figuring out how to get to the GPU and the bridge without disassembling the entire thing. I read on a few threads that it can be done but none of them have directions on how to go about it. I was just wondering if anyone here has had experience in reseating for this laptop.
