Getting ICHQ ready for Expo 2013

Here's some stuff we're working on for Expo. Last weekend, @Aaron and I completely hosed & squeegeed the basement. Up next:
  • New lighting for the basement (with one switch to rule them all)
  • Replace the one boarded up basement window for additional sunlight
  • Repair brickwork & tuckpoint entire basement foundation as needed
  • Repair holes & ridges in basement floor
  • Demolish wooden walls in basement (opening 2/3 into 1 big area - equivalent to Great Room + Office + Hall + Stairwell + Foyer)
  • New lighting for the carriage house interior
  • Putting down pea gravel in the backyard (to fix the mudpit it's becoming)
  • Emptying all the crazy from the carriage house (dumpster #3 has arrived)
So basically, in case you thought Expo might not have enough usable space... I found some more. :D

    We've been discussing ideas for the name plaques too, speaking of which. I don't think they'll be up by Expo, but we've got some solid ideas I think.

    I'm actually trying to remove water-sensitive materials from the basement in general. I don't anticipate flooding, but I'm gonna keep her mostly flood-proof anyway. That said, I have far more... inventive... plans for "finishing" the walls down there. :D:ninja:

    We had water problems in our old basement. We just dry-walled to about a foot above the floor, then waterproof board to the floor and tiled. What are you thinking of doing?

    Still need to replace the basement window(s) and get electric in the carriage house. Pea gravel is in progress. Everything else on that list is done.

    I think it's slightly larger than the tent, slightly smaller than the basement main room at the coffee shop.

    Wait, we're setting up computers in the basement?

    It is at this point I must, begrudgingly, admit to Brian, who I told basically every year that we should buy the damned tent instead of renting it... that perhaps it's best that he doesn't own a tent right now.
