BSOD - Compaq CQ 60 Vista - STOP - 0x0000008E

My Compaq laptop boots fine in safe mode. The moment is it switched to normal windows mode - it shows the user login sceen and within a second brings up the blue screen with the following STOP code

0x0000008E (0xC0000005,0x00000000,0x8D99EA48,0x00000000)

Any Help is appreciated.
