Spotify, Web Apps and the Relevancy of Native Applications.

Has Spotify web app (play.spotify.com) made irrelevant the native Mac app (Spotify.app)?

In the past a native app - be it Mac OS or iOs (Windows and Android) - was usually preferable to it's "web app" counterpart. My feeling this has not changed. Nonetheless Spotify.com may make the native Mac (Windows) app irrelevant because these native apps are built upon the Adobe Flash platform; arguablly a web platform.

Is http://play.spotify.com also built upon Adobe Flash?

    There's no Flash on iOS, so a Flash-based app couldn't possibly replace a native app there.

    So, it looks like it's adding a flash player via javascript.
