If you want to watch a broken game, tune in now. Ocarina of Time is one of the most broken games I've seen. They're running two different routes so it should be doubly interesting.
2 players controlling Goldeneye is worth the watch. I played so much of that game and its cool to see that some of the tricks I used to use done so quick.
The last 30 minute push was pretty incredible to watch. Just insanity in Twitch chat. Amazing event, I can't believe 1 million was raised. pretty insane.
The bonus stream will also be starting soon. It tends to be a little more casual, and the runs aren't super long, but it's a little more craziness and they usually raise a little more money too.
Thought i'd suggest some specific runs for people that missed most of the Marathon. Links are to Twitch.tv vods: TAS Block: Tool Assisted Speedrun demos. Pretty incredible stuff can be accomplished in a TAS. about 20 minutes long Yoshi's Island 100% + Glitched%: Really fun run with World Record holder Tri-hex, lot's of swag and strats for imo the best game on SNES. About 3 hours long. Bucky O' Hare: Played on "anti-piracy" difficulty. Basically was never intended for you to win on this difficulty, Cyghfer doesn't care. About 30 minutes long. F-Zero GX: omg, OMG, OMFG! Wear a helmet so it's easier to find all the pieces of your head afterward. About 25 minutes Half-Life: coolkid shows off some cool stuff. Really nice if you played HL1 as much as I did. About 40 minutes Soul Silver to Blindfolded Punch-Out: Starts with an extremely technical Pokemon run with werster, and then followed up with super hype blindfolded Punch-Out! About 3 hours of pokemon followed by an hour of Mike Tyson's Punch-Out and Super Punch-Out Super Metroid any% 4-player race: 4 of the absolute best Super Metroid Runners racing against each other simultaneously with compelling commentary. Everyone should watch this. About 50 minutes. Minecraft: Ever wondered what a minecraft speed run looks like? This run will explain everything. About 20 minutes long Chrono Trigger: Begins with super broken New Game+ run and then the finale begins with Obdajr and spikevegeta and puwexil on the couch. Epic conclusion, 1 million dollars, WONDERSHOT HYPE! About 5 and a half hours long.
Hopefully the twitch vods don't give too much troubles.
So while everyone was being social in Detroit or traveling home, Summer Games Done Quick kicked it off with Super Mario 3D World. This is the smaller, more Summer-y version of AGDQ, which you might remember raised over $1,000,000 dollars for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. SGDQ 2014 charity of choice is Doctors Without Borders.
As always, donations are entirely voluntary, and Twitch.tv will make additional donations just for viewer count. Meaning you can help a great cause just for watching people destroy the games we all grew up playing.
I love that this is a twice a year event. Always crazy stuff to see in games I thought I knew. Currently Resident Evil 2 is up next with an estimated run time of 1 hour 10 minutes. So hype.

Currently 13 minutes into a 120 star run of Super Mario 64. I've already seen at least 10 things I didn't know were possible.
