Brew #5, and the final one for Expo is a Ginger Beer. What's the difference between this and the ginger ale? About 5.5% ABV. Ginger, brown sugar, yeast, and water. Om nom nom.
Brew #4 is the first beer and only brew making its return to Expo: Honey Ginger Saison. 10.5% ABV, being kegged today. This batch uses fresh ginger and locally sourced honey. It's also a bit stronger than the previous batch. I have sampled this one at every step of the process and have not been disappointed.

I'm thinking it'll happen either Monday night or sometime after the Canada trip on Tuesday.
Wait, wut? No.

Proof of awesome:
Aww yiss.
The ginger ale didn't make it. The keg lid wasn't keeping pressure in. No explosions though. It's sitting in my garage now.
There is something weird with the ginger beer...I'm pulling it from the lineup as well
Also, I will reiterate - the beers and ciders are VERY STRONG. Consume carefully and responsibly.
My cherry tree in my front lawn started ripening finally, so I think I might try to make some cherry wine, cause why the hell not.
So, here's what made it to Expo in consumable condition:
10 gallons light cider
5 gallons honey ginger saison
~1 gallon dark cider
My estimate of the consumption:
5 gallons light cider
4 gallons honey ginger saison
~1 gallon dark cider
All three should make a return for next year...hopefully in a little less powerful form.
Thanks for bringing everything up Nick. Condolences to all that were unable to try the dark cider.
Your cider efforts were greatly appreciated, @mertesn
...and to those adversely affected by its ability to sing sweetly to your tongue before kicking you square in the balls.
I loved and hated your cider, Nick.
Thank you, you monster.
Just you wait - I'm already in the planning stages for next year...
