STAR WARS Disneyland half marathon!
Guys, list-- GUYS! Okay, guys, listen... GUYS, LISTEN!
Disneyland holds several half marathons a year (with a full marathon being held at Disneyworld), and they're AWESOME. I've done a Disney half marathon with my father, and it was an absolute BLAST. They have lots of refreshments along the course (water and gatorade, and stuff like protein bars all over the place that volunteers will literally run up to you with, and then food at the end for you), entertainment like live bands along the course as well as cheerleading squads screaming out your name in encouragement (your name will be written on your bib number). I consider the Disney half marathons one of the best experiences of my life and have been wanting to do another one for a very long time.
BUT WAIT! This one is Star Wars themed, so there's going to be Star Wars themed entertainment, Star Wars characters walking around, and a Star Wars themed medal at the end. Not to mention all the other great stuff that comes with being a participant. There's a whole event weekend surrounding this, and who loves event weekends better than Icrontic? And if Icrontic is going to run a half marathon... I mean, seriously. What better half than a Star Wars half?
This is the first EVER Star Wars themed half that they've ever done, so you can be a part of history! You can be a part of the magic!
It's in January, which gives you 6 months to train which is plenty of time. If anyone's interested, we can put an Icrontic group together and have matching shirts and stuff, also with the added bonus of you not needing a hotel since Dan and I would be more than happy to host anyone who came by to do this.

I'm doing this for sure, and sign ups start tomorrow at noon. If you're interested, I would suggest getting your spot quickly, because they sell out super fast.
I hope to see a couple of you there!

I... kinda want to do this...
Bring the Digi kids. There are 3k, 10k, and kid runs on the day, too. Kids get a special medal.
Why I would never do a Disney event.
That was in Florida. Also, if we let other people's bad experiences and other people's shitty behavior stop us from doing things, no one would ever doing anything worth while.
EDIT: I also should have mentioned that the Disney Princess half marathon is predominantly female, yes... but the other races certainly are not. I'd say it was definitely an even mix at the one I ran with my father.
