I've had the MX300 and I currently have a MX700 and if you want a no frills small mouse go for the MX300 the 310 has a few more frills I believe and if you want one with all the bells and whistles and is a bit bigger get the MX500, I personally like the MX700 but not everyone likes cordless mice.

700 has minimal lag with its fastRF, but it still lags enough to notice. mx500 is what I use, its pretty sweet, takes a bit of time to get used to the shape though. definitly the 300 over the 310, the 310 has a WEIRD shape to it, very uncomfortable.

Also, if it seems a bit heavy to you, open it up and take out the metal slug they put in it to weigh it down. :P

Get the MX500 out of that bunch - it's supposed to have a higher sensitivity than the 300.

I use a MX500 for MOHAA & CoD. I usually have to turn the in-game mouse sensitivity to it's lowest setting on most games. MX500 is definately the way to go for wired mice, with games in mind.

I have a mx300 and it is the best mouse I've ever used. I like the shape of it better than the 500 or 700. You'll be happy with any of the Logitech MX mice.

Agreed, but in my case heel of either hand drags behind mouse all the time anyways(dang hands too BIG here and most fingers too long) if I have a slow or non-dense non-optical mouse, so I like a mouse that does not have to drag heel of hand around with it, and for me that is the MX700. Heel of hand stays in place, slight turn of wrist or extension of fingers gets it across or up or down or around screen very fast. That thing is FAST!

Like the mountianous view in your sig.....
