I know it's a tall order, but my nephew is looking into buying his first laptop with his own money and he wants to be able to play some PC games on it, specifically TF2, League of Legends, and World of Warcraft. He understands that he'd be only able to game on medium to low settings but he'd still like to be able to play at an acceptable framerate.
Does such a beast exist at this price range?

I'm going to say this is probably his best bet. It's no powerhouse, but it'll get the job done.
I should note that I have no knowledge of LoL and WoW requirements. It'll TF2 like a boss though.
Yeah, something like that should work.

Meets both min specs for those. YMMV
Grabbed this for my nephew since you guys told me to. If it sucks, I blame you... not really.
I had a HP laptop with the same A8 CPU / APU played SC2 at medium settings
id like to add that wow minimum requirements dont seem to quite cover raiding, even with every setting at its lowest draw.
I know Woot.com occasionally does some refurb deals that are pretty solid. If he feels comfortable with buying a refurb it might get him more hardware within budget.
