Expo 2015 Homebrew :)

I am Bobby MillerYukon, OK Icrontian
Some people start thinking about Expo around the time tickets become available. I start during the current Expo because
Anyway, I've been brewing for Expo 2015 pretty much since returning from Expo 2014 and should start having some real results soon. So far here's what is in production...
- Cherry chipotle mead. Should be around 8% ABV. If it's anything like the first batch you'll probably have to fight for one.
- The same Dark cider recipe that didn't quite make it to the official Day 1. Be careful - it's 14% ABV and doesn't taste like it.
- Sour cider. It's far more tame than previous batches at 5.25% ABV. It's not quite ready for a tasting yet, but it smells really good.
- Primesuspect's Perfect Coffee Porter
- Another in the line of mystery brews.
- Unaltered mead. Turns out it was about as popular as the cherry chipotle variety, so it's another split batch.
And now for the planned brews, all of which are making a return appearance:
- Lincoln's Hoppy Ending - brewed and fermenting almost ready to bottle bottled
- Honey Ginger Saison - brewed and fermenting almost ready to bottle bottled
- Bobby Miller Light ran out of time

Oh god yes please.
Holy cow, these actually sound like things I want to drink.
When do tickets become available and do they sell out?
As soon as @Linc flips the switch and there will be tickets for everyone who wants to attend.
yeaaah we'll do it soon
how much do tickets normally cost?
last year was $70 if im not mistaken
Icrontic Communism will return for 2015. There is a recommended price, and several other options depending on your financial abilities.
I need #3 in my face please.
Mmmmm. Sour cider sounds good.
im sure i could afford the $70, especially if i could roll out a sleeping bag at ICHQ...i dont know if thats an option at EPIC
This is normally an option, but you'd likely be in the attic and there's not air conditioning (unless that's been changed since last year).
???
Sorry, I was amused by the notion of air conditioning having been added to the attic.
That's why this thread exists.
Just finished bottling the dark cider. There was a bit left over that wasn't enough to fill a bottle. I might be drinking it. I might not be standing up later.

Brew #5 bottled. Assuming today goes as planned, the coffee porter should be bottled.
I'm quite happy with the coffee porter results. The coffee flavor (Chazzano Sumatra Mandheling) is pretty evident and there's a chocolate flavor that's found its way in.
Tried the dark cider this weekend. It's very lightly carbonated, mellowing nicely, and should be deceptively smooth by Expo.
I've been a bit motivationally challenged lately when it comes to brewing. There are about three brewing weeks left, so I'll try and get everything finished up soon.
There was a sampling of the mead at ICSP and it was about a 50/50 split on preference for the plain and cherry chipotle versions, so I may just do this again.
edited to add the coffee used
The procrastination bug bit me again, but I bit it back today. Hoppy Ending and Honey Ginger are fermenting. Double brew day FTW.
I'm now onto finishing labels and bottling all the things.
Everything but Bobby Miller Light will be at Expo. Unfortunately Not Beer Stuff™ got in the way.
Sour cider is in the bottle. Used my SodaStream last night to carbonate my drinking sample and while the sour flavor isn't quite as pronounced as I had hoped, it is still quite good.
I have a favor to ask...
I'm driving a much smaller vehicle to Expo than in previous years. As such, I won't be able to bring any kind of coolers with me. If a few people could bring some coolers for beer chilling that would be awesome.
