League Season 5: Level Up!
Linc
OwnerDetroit Icrontian
This season we have our normal League badge, but this time it's leveled. There are 20 possible levels. Each level is +5 points, except the 20th (max) level which is +25.
Every week there will be 1-3 challenges. You level up for each challenge you complete. The goal is to have 30+ challenges thru our 15-week season so there is ample opportunity to catch up if you miss a week (or can't / don't want to do a particular challenge).
We'll announce new challenges the day of the league game. The challenge for Week 1 was simple: Show up! Everyone who came and played gets level 1.
TO LEVEL UP YOU MUST CONNECT YOUR STEAM ACCOUNT. That lets me automate as much as possible because it associates a SteamID with your username here.
To level 20!

Rad.
That week 1 challenge was hard.
is there a place we can see our/everyone else's level?
Increasing levels means we can wear more hats, as in Ivan wears one more hat per level?
@oni_dels You can request the lvl one badge for season5. Seems like they will auto-approve higher levels? But you will have to check someone's profile.
EDIT: For the lazy.
lvl 1: But at level 1, that's about all you did. Thanks for showing up!
lvl 2: And then you played a bit! Level 2, watch out!
lvl 3: Level 3 means you're kind of a regular. Good job!
lvl 4: And level 4 means you might actually be kinda good...?
lvl 5: Level 5? Watch out! We got ourselves a bad-ass over here...
lvl 6: Level 6? I suppose you probably have dabbled in hat-trading and such...
lvl 7: And you've reached level 7, for which there is nothing clever to say other than you play a lot of TF2.
lvl 8: Level 8 means you've most likely spent money on a free-to-play game. Aces!
lvl 9: Level 9? You're probably trying too hard, and at this point you might think you can achieve all 20 levels of this badge. Hah!
lvl 10: You're halfway there. Level 10 is no small achievement. Well, it is compared to like, getting an A+ on an algebra test, but whatever...
lvl 11: Level 11 is really sort of anticlimactic after 10, though, right?
lvl 12: Level 12 is interesting because it makes 20 seem achievable in a way, but you've still got so far to go! Do you stop now? Do you keep going?
lvl 13: Whoa! 13 is an unlucky number in some cultures! But in this culture, it's pretty awesome.
lvl 14: Okay, that's it. You're at level 14. Time to put the game down. You've probably got hundreds of hours played. Stahp.
lvl 15: Well at this point you're close enough to 20 to just buckle down and make a go of it.
lvl 16: Level 16 is interesting because you're probably starting to question yourself. Like, is it worth it? Why go to 20? Is 20 arbitrary? What is my purpose in life?
lvl 17: Now you're knee-deep in the slog, aren't you? You want to stop, but the end is so close. Just keep going. You've already wasted so much time playing games with this crew that you may as well just go all the way.
lvl 18: What can be said about level 18? It's a pointless level. It's not meaningful in any way, other than to signify that you're on your way to 20. Useless! Hope you're happy with yourself.
lvl 19: Level 19 hurts, doesn't it? If something happened now to jeopardize your ascension to level 20 it will have all been for nothing. You'll forever be "that person who couldn't quite make it to 20. 19 was a great try though, huh?" No pressure. Just saying.
lvl 20: You play too much TF2. For real.
I spent a lot of time crafting the text descriptions of these badges YOU SHOULD ALL APPRECIATE THAT
So the karma level?
Nice work @Fettbacon. The view is awesome from up here, eh?
SAYS THE GUY WHO SKIPPED A NIGHT
Does this badge count as an intervention?
