Tinker WU's were the de facto regular WU's for this project until very recently. They don't use any enhancing assembly loops such as 3DNow! or SSE but depend entirely on the native floating point ability of the processor. This is 1 reason why P4 and to a lesser extent, the P3 procs were so outclassed by the Athlon and Duron procs.

You will find that they turn in a much lower point/hour ratio (about 1/2 to 2/3 the point ratio of Gromacs) than the Gromacs WU's but they are still needed for the F@H project as there are some simulations that still can't be done with Gromacs. Please don't just dump them for Gro work as they are still needed for the research.

Gnome - Sounds like I need to get an A-64 - I am dropping hints to my wife - Just need to find the right opening to ask. On the outside chance you don't know how much credit is going for each work unit I am going to put in the Stanford link. But I know you have this. Forgive me I have only been a member of S-M since mid Dec last year and I'm not sure what resources you use. I know I love Fah LogStats for my desktop and I wouldn't be without WinVNC to watch over the farm - and I check for credit all the time at
