Offline PC Gaming Options?

Howdy Icrontic. Got a question for ya.

My Dad needs some video games to play but they need to be 100% offline. What options should I look into for him. Doesn't need to be anything eccentric. For example, he already has and enjoys bejeweled and mahjong. When I talked to him today, he was interested in a Pinball game and possibly another mahjong game (Not being familiar with mahjong myself, are there different game types or something like that?).

Ideally I would be able to install the game(s) without having to connect his computer to the Internet at all but if a 1 time activation or the like is needed, a temporary connection is possible. We can purchase games on CD from a retail store or download them to a drive and transfer them to his machine. Could order online for delivery of physical media if a compelling option shows up in that avenue.

Any thoughts gamers of Icrontic?

Good Old games would only require the opne time connection and they have a ton of classics
