Looking to build a gaming computer need some help on it...
i'm thinking of building gaming desktop from scratch since i think it is cheaper than getting one from a major company...however i have never done this before and was wondering what are the nessecary components that a desktop needs in order to function...i think i have an idea, but i might have missed something...
i am hoping that this will play games like Crysis on high settings. so any nessecary hardware that i need to know about would be nice
alright thanks...

The first question is how much do you want to spend?
ASUS 17.1 inch Wide UXGA 2GB DDR2 667 160GB laptop:
17.1" WUXGA,Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 2.2G,2GB DDR2,160GB,256MB GDDR3 VRAM.
The cpu is powerful enough for your game and the screen is big and clear .
Right now you can get it for $1916 :

And if you do want to build your own I suggest you to get this Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4GHZ Quad Core CPU :
• CPU Speed:2.40 GHz
• PCG:05B
• Bus Speed:1066 MHz
• Bus/Core Ratio:9.0

And for the monitor I suggest you get the Samsung or the Acre .
Hope this helps anyway.[/FONT]

i assume this stuff can be gotten at tigerdirect.com??? that's what is reccomended?
Your RAM there only runs at 677Mhz. Personally I would stick with two gig and get some at 800Mhz or Higher (depending on what your board can handle.
If you are using XP you wont get more than 3GB to work anyway.
