"Only __________ in a $7k package?" can be said to many of the specs in that system.

I priced the entry-level version on Newegg as closely as possible.

    $179.99 2TB WD Caviar Black
    $959.98 2x EVGA GeForce GTX 480
    $149.99 Creative Fatal1ty sound card w/front panel
    $379.99 Silverstone 1500W PSU
    $189.99 6GB Corsair Dominator DDR3-1600
$359.99 Asus Rampage III Extreme motherboard
    $284.99 Intel Core i7-930
    $219.99 Plextor 12x Blu-ray burner (Pioneer wasn't available)
    $339.98 2x OCZ Vertex2 SSD
    $299.99 Xbox 360 Slim 250GB
    $ 23.28 Shipping
    $3388.16 Total

No idea what the custom cooling and case cost, but this will at least get you started on your own version. I'm guessing the cooling, case, and extras *could* run about $1000 for a total of $4388.16. That still leaves quite a margin before advertising and salaries are considered, but it's probably right in line with what Dell/Alienware would charge for something similar (*no research was done for this statement*).

$7k? The xbox 360 slim is $299.99, and my gaming rig is just about as good (despite the liquid cooling) and it only cost me $1500.00 after it was all said and done...Triple the cost? For what? The convenience of having the 360 and a PC in one? I don't think so.

I was marginally interested until the SSDs in RAID0... aside from my misgivings about SSDs in general, RAID0 is just a bad idea 99% of the time. Overpriced and DO NOT WANT.

The water cooled xbox is a cool idea but I'm not sure there's any reason to have that linked with a ridiculous computer.

Also, the corded controller seems off... is this supposed to sit quietly under your uber-screen tv? I'm not sure I'm ready for the concept of computers-as-furniture.

It looks cool I guess. You know if you're into the whole ugly square thing.

Winfrey, you're thinking too small. You should be using Benjamin Franklin for that instead of Andrew Jackson if you can afford this thing.
