So this is the project that Faust left MLP for. It was rumored she left to focus on her independent project MilkyWay and the Galaxy Girls. Curious about that decision still, but this will undoubtedly produce an awesome super hero series.
I know, but ponies is such a sensitive, dividing topic. It sounds absurd, but you either know it and love it, or you don't and you hate it. I try to keep it in our one thread to prevent rage.
Lauren Faust did not create the Powerpuff Girls, Craig McCracken did. While fact checking this, I stumbled upon his first short, where they were called the Whoopass Girls.

True. But it's also fair to note that Faust is married to McCracken, and the two frequently bounce ideas off of each other -- he helped design the villain for the second-season premiere of "My Little Pony", as but one example.
While I'm excited for a new Lauren Faust project, I REALLY wish we could get an animated series of MWGG. She promised one a while back, and ever since then I've been giddy to hear who they get for Moon's voice actress.
