I'll probably take the basement or a sumo/couch somewhere. I considered getting a hotel, but honestly I'll be too inebriated to drive to a hotel safely. So I'm going to sleep somewhere at ICHQ out of necessity.
Now that I've been armed with a great recipe courtesy of Fatcat, I would like to announce (hosts willing) that I will be making a few gallons of mulled cider for this event. You can, of course, spike your glass with whatever rum you so desire.
Bandrik are you bringing "we didn't playtest this"?!
Whew, thanks for reminding me. Yes, I'll put that on my list of shiznit to bring with.
There will be zany lulz that is We Didn't Playtest This At All!
To those that don't know what we're talking about, this is referring to a bizarrely entertaining card game by Asmadi Games. Everyone gets 2 cards, and on your turn you draw one more, and play one of the three you wish. Each has a wacky action or new rule written on it. Think of the drinking game "Kings" and you'll know what I mean.
I was going to mention Fluxx, but wasn't sure how many were familiar with it. We Didn't Playtest This is similar, but is somewhat more easy for newcomers to learn and wackier... if you can believe that.
I love Fluxx, but I almost rage-killed all of my Columbus friends when I tried to explain the game to them while they were drinking. They do better at, say, Pictionary. I think ICHQ is a safer place for Fluxx.
Update: I have no solid plans for this weekend yet. Might be bringing a friend, might not be coming at all. Hopefully it all works out.
Would anyone be interested in going to The DAMNED Show while you're here? There are three shows from Oct 27-29. The aerial acrobat I am dating is performing in this show.
Yes, but because we did that, no one came in costume, so really it was just a party in October.
It wasn't even particularly early in October, it was the middle weekend of the month. Only a few years ago that was the only weekend that any of my friends were free to come to my party, and they all still knew that Halloween party entailed costumes.

I'll just join in the cuddle manpile.

Perfect for 2-8 players. Best when drunk.

Now if people would start staggering Halloween parties, I'd be set. Not sure how I'm going to hit both my houses and ICOK. Party bus between the two?
Amen. I have been invited to at least 6 different parties, many of them with overlapping guest lists. Why not spread those bitches out?
Southwest airlines:
Arrival: Wed Oct 26 12:10AM

Basically, you'll just want to drop me off at DTW Sunday night and I'll crash there. No sense making one of you get up at 5AM on a Monday.
