This is normal.
When i turn on Computer i get to the Screen where you Can Pick Users like "Mom, Dad, Me, Admin, and so on"
not even Logged into any of them
the FAN will keep spinning 100% Speed UNTILL i restart my Computer
"I have never played with the Fan speed Control its still on Default"
then it will go back to normal
why is it doing that??
it starts going FAST at User Screen and STAYS fast untill i restart computer
will it Damage the Fan if its 100% Speed?
I always recommend driver sweeper + CCleaner in safe mode to be sure.
this computer has gone to 5770 to 6950
but i did uninstall the 5770 Driver but i didnt user Driver sweeply only CCleaner
Completely uninstall AMD drivers
Reboot to safe mode
Run driver sweeper for all AMD display drivers
Download and install latest AMD driver (link assumes Win7 x64)
i cant download driver sweeper
Attention - Guru3D Driver Sweeper has been discontinued as such you will not find any download links here any longer.
my last question can it be a small sign of Defective 6950 that the fan is going Fast???
i updated my Driver and used Driver sweeper. lets see what happens
Thanks alot of replying back alot i appreciate it alot, Thank you
i guess it was the Driver
alittle off Topic
for the 6950 Idle Temp i am getting 53C is that normal?? @30% Fan speed
i thought it should be 42C? insides are still Clean
i got it to 39~42C @24 fan on Idle just by pressing Manufacture Default Settings on CCC
i appreciate it Thank you so much
newest catalyst drivers. restarted pc, and when I logged back in to windows both 6970's fans went 100%.
I only restart my pc, maybe once a month
changed fans to 30% in CCC
