OH MAN! OKTOBERFEST 2009!

Honesty, my favorite event....

Icrontic Proudly Presents:

Icrontic's 3rd Oktoberfest

WHEN: October 29th 6pm - November 1st, 2009

WHERE: ICHQ (Warren, MI)

COSTUME PARTY: Halloween, Saturday, the 31st.

RULES:
1: Bring your own beer/drinks. Bring extra for prime and linc. If you bring shitty beer, DO NOT drink other people's good beer without sober consent. We will have plans to "protect" the beer you bring.

2: Reserving the guest list to 25 non-local attendees. It's October in Michigan, if you wanna be hardcore and sleep outside, ^5. Otherwise finding places for people to sleep above this attendee reserve becomes impossible, especially since we try to avoid people on the living room floor.

3: NO ONE UNDER 21 WILL BE ALLOWED TO DRINK, PERIOD. This is an adult-type-event. Of course we welcome non-drinkers to come and have fun. Expect shenanigans.

4: If you come without a costume for Halloween, expect to be ridiculed, harassed, and joked about.

5: Your are welcome to bring a Laptop.

6: We reserve the right to refuse attendees.

7: Left desinated for additional rules if needed.

Post here if you will attend.

I'm going to say IN right now.

now, this is in the middle of NCAA Football season, so getting time off is going to be VERY tricky

But I'm going to give it my best. The only major IC event I haven't been to yet, I'm tired of missing it, I'm going to try my hardest to weasel out time off for this.

Off course, if all goes according to plans, I won't be working in South Bend come October

If you came to the Expo and were thrilled with meeting everyone, but felt like maybe you'd like to get more face time with individuals, or felt overwhelmed by everything; that is where ICOK really shines. It's smaller, there's no events and trips, and it's just a great chance to sit around and BS with all your fellow Icrontians. It's a really good time.

prime is exactly right. Expo is a crazy week. Oktoberfest is a very relaxed environment where you can meet and get to know fellow Icrontians.

What they said. That's why I really enjoyed St Pattys at ICHQ and Winter Blast. Got to bum around with Fatcat, Jared, prag, Annes and talk.

Heck, I spent a good chunk of time at both events acutally doing work work on my PC and STILL loved it.

Bindle, get Grimnoc to come. I've already talked to him about this. He has the time off, he can do it, and still work Sunday and be just fine.

There really isn't any excuse other than him just n00bing out for no good reason.

Im more concerned about my ability to make it down there. I have the time, but A. my Kansas drivers license is granted about a year and a half earlier than most other states and it's kind of a special thing, so I don't know if I can even use it out of state. B. I just had knee surgery, so Im not sure that I can make the full trip out to michigan hehe. Next summer? Ill be there.

Edit: How far is Duluth from ICHQ?

Local is classified as someone who does not sleep at ICHQ during the event. You will need to let us know your status when the dates are closer.

Change of plans kids, it doesn't look like I'll be able to make it. Between classes and being forced to buy a new car my finances are sunk. I may be able to scrounge up some money by then, but for now I'm guarding the fence.
