Re: Pokemon Go Adventure at Epic 2018 - Prepare your backpacks!
I solved the PoGo+ and Go-tcha flakiness. The PoGo app runs two background services: one checks for root, the other manages the connection with Plus-type devices. If the root checking service sees a rooted phone, it disables Pokemon Go from running. More on the second service in a moment. Niantic implemented the root checker early in PoGo's life, as people were using an Android package called Xposed to spoof their location to hatch eggs and capture Pokémon. I've had my phone's root status hidden from PoGo so I can play.
What I did not know is that the PoGo+ service, that manages connection and sync, also checks for root. This service is hidden inside the main PoGo app with a special Android activity that can be found if you inspect the APK. The root check in the PoGo+ service runs on an inexact interval, which explains why the PoGo+ would sync and function intermittently. I've since hid the PoGo+ service from root as well, and it worked beautifully all day long at Cedar Point.

Code of Conduct for Icrontic Events
Starting with Expo 2018, Icrontic is putting on its grownup pants and publishing a code of conduct. Please read it, because your presence at our events is 100% subject to it. Also it's quite short. I based this on the excellent template at confcodeofconduct.com with a few minor modifications; it shouldn't be anything unexpected from normally functioning human adult relationships.
The main point I want to make is how important it is to involve Brian and/or myself in all complaints immediately. While we enlist an army of volunteers (including our wonderful spouses) it is our responsibility to address any issues if they arise and we cannot take action if it is not reported.
The secondary point I want to make is that this is not some sort of new Icrontic chastity policy. We're grownups, and grownup stuff can happen at our events. The point is that no one is harassed or compelled to participate in anything that makes them uncomfortable. And if something bad happens, there needs to be clear communication and recourse.
Let's do the full text of the policy, and then follow up with some VERY FUN EXAMPLES below.
============
Icrontic Event Code of Conduct
All attendees, event-runners, sponsors and volunteers at our events are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Icrontic's owners (Brian and Lincoln) will enforce this code throughout all events. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.
Quick Version
Our events are dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form. Event participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the event without a refund at the discretion of the owners.
Long Version
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of games or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the owners may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund.
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact one or both owners immediately, preferably by their shared email at pwners@icrontic.com or via private message to both on Icrontic.com. No one else is authorized to act on their behalf without explicit permission on a case-by-case basis.
The owners or their designee will be happy to help participants contact local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the event. We value your attendance.
We expect participants to follow these rules at all scheduled off-site venues in addition to ICHQ.

Re: Let's go inside the train station!!!
I'll be talking to Leah about whether we can do Sunday; if we can't, then we'll still be going Saturday around 10-10:30am, so he's welcome to join us.

Re: EPIC 2018 Beer Tasting - Barrel Aged Stouts
It only took a half-dozen trade posts, a couple hundred messages back and forth, a few hours of driving and meeting to do 4 in person trades in Detroit and 1 shipped acquisition from Colorado, but all of the beer for the tasting is now on hand.
One day left!

Well, let me know. I actually want to participate in the Pedal Pub at 4:15, so I'll need to head down that way anyway, and kid-free to boot! Woo!Also, what is DL 5815? Is that Delta?
Also (and I feel terrible about this) I need a photo of what you look like so I'll know who you are. My apologies, but I don't keep up on Icrontic names.
Don't feel terrible! Tis the way of internet based communities :-P I was going to suggest that we swap phone numbers off thread as well. I haven't heard from @Farge today but he should be driving now from Nebraska arriving tonight sometime. He's pedal pubbing also. I will coordinate and try to be sure only one of you shows up at the airport.
Also, yes DL is Delta.
