Re: Pokemon Go Adventure at Epic 2018 - Prepare your backpacks!

I made level 19 today. I find that I am low on balls much of the time; poke stops drop like one or two a piece.
Getting a Go+ made this much easier for me. I have it connected any time I go anywhere. If you get one of the third party ones you don't even have to press the button to spin. It's great as a lot of stops are at intersections where you slow down or stop naturally and also gets steps for your eggs and buddy in Vancouver-like slow-ass rush hour traffic.
Also if you frequent the same gyms and work up to gold status (each raid gets you 1000 xp towards the 30k you need for gold) this means 3 extra items per spin, plus 1 if it's your colour.
Another thing we often do is have lunch at triple stops every so often. Spin every 5 mins to stock up. If you have a Go+ you can also avoid being tempted into catching as you spin so you actually save some of the stuff you gather for later.
Oh and definitely hit the streaks by spinning at least once per day!

Re: Expo 2018 Travel Plans & Accommodations
For those of you driving (and for those of you who may have a rental for around town).
Make sure to check out road closures and construction from MDOT

Re: Expo 2018 seafood boil & BBQ
The Eventbrite form asked for intent, not a final order. We’ll set up a formal signup this week. We have, indeed, pushed Eventbrite to the max.

Expo 2018 seafood boil & BBQ
I wanted to clarify what the "creole food truck" that was written on the order form actually is. It's not really Creole and it's not a food truck, so...
This is my friend Andre (he's the grown-up)

Andre has many talents. He's Santa Claus, for example
Andre also cooks. He's from the south.
Andre is going to be doing a good ol' low country seafood boil for us: Crawfish, shrimp, lobster, crab, Andouille sausage, corn and potatoes all get boiled up like this:
And it ends up looking like this:
My friend Dre is also going to be grilling some ribs and chicken for those who can't or won't eat shellfish. There will also be sides of green beans and mac & cheese, all homemade.
$15 buy-in gets you a plate guaranteed - mix and match. If you're not doing seafood, you can take some extra ribs and chicken. I almost guarantee there will be enough food for leftovers and seconds.
That's the meal for Friday the 22nd. He's doing all the work and you get to enjoy the massive convenience of having a real boil brought right to you. All you have to do is pay up and eat!
(Also, tip the guy, would you?)
Re: EXPO DIA Star Wars trip!
Couple other tips:
- Aim to be back by 2pm, please.
- Wasabi Sushi is right next to the DIA if you wanna grab lunch while you're up there.
