there will be some @Kaintenance action in there too!
ICSP Beer Adventure
So, free time is a bit stretched right now, so I won't be able to throw a formal tasting this time around. But, y'all are gonna be in town during the anniversary weekend for one of Michgan's best new breweries, Drafting Table, and they're having a bottle release and anniversary party on Saturday the 24th.
It's a bit of a trek out to the burbs of Wixom, but I'm gonna be caravanning out there and planning to get in line around 9:30am-10am in hopes of getting some bottles of their beer in addition to getting to hit the taps when they open at noon. I'd love if I could bring some folks out there so you can experience some of this stuff yourselves. If you like BA stouts, these guys are putting out perhaps the best ones in Michigan right now, and a bunch will be on tap and 2 of them will be available at the bottle sale, and they're basically guaranteed to sell out of bottles before they open based on demand and expected morning lineup.
I'd expect that we'd hang out for a few hours and then maybe head back towards Detroit around 3pm or so. Depending on what kind of delicious stuff is on tap at neighboring breweries Witch's Hat and Ascension, there may be the possibility of some brief stops to try some other things if everyone on board at the time is game.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Re: Folding Milestones Achieved!
Woo, finally made it!
I haven't been able to fold with my home computers due to heat in the small room they're in, so it's taken me a while to hit this milestone. I've been relying on the web client on my work computer lately. Hopefully one day I can get them going again and get my top 10 spot back!
Congrats to @BlueTattoo & @Colgere!
Re: Let's talk about ASMR!
I just rely on OMGWTFB. So now I just make sure the hotels I stay in have a bar. Schnockerd and snoozed works every time.

Re: Salty Bet: the most incredible, pointless, awesome thing.
Alright fools. Time for a 4 year necro. Salty Bet is back.
Tonight, @RyanFodder @GnomeQueen @DontCallMeKelso and I cracked some booze and wiped the dust off of salty bet and we had an effing blast. Time to do it big.
This Friday, March 9th at 7:30PM PDT (10:30PM EST), let's do this thing. Log in to saltybet.com, buy plenty of booze, and get ready to burn away all of your money and head to the salt mines. We're doing this live on Discord. Join us, I promise it'll be a blast.
You thought salty bet died? No u. U died. Salty bet lives and it still rules and we still have whatever money was left after we quit playing 4 years ago. Get on discord and fite me in bets.

Re: Let's talk about ASMR!
Youngest decided he wanted to listen to "We Will Rock You by Queen" (his exact words). So I naturally obliged.
Dropped him off at the in-laws and blasted Queen all the way home.
Then Under Pressure came on and I almost had to stop the car. I have always loved the song, and I consider it about as close to perfection as possible. But it just hit me in the perfect way last night, especially as it hit the peak. Even just thinking about it to type this, it triggered all over again.

Ars Pro: Now free of tracking scripts for subscribers
I wasn't aware they even had a $25/yr ad-free subscription, but with the addition of all tracking code removal, this is a steal. If Icrontic was still in the content business, this is definitely the sort of model that I think works best right now. The web is broken with the current bottomless pit of Javascript running on most sites and it's important to get behind efforts like this. Subscribed.

Re: Nier Automata (Now on sale!)
I may or may not have ordered the soundtrack for this game from japan. My favorite game I've played in years.

The thinner spoke wheels on the smaller tires should looked balanced.
Are you going for the 'high front end' ala Gasser look? Or are you going to put some rake into it?
You are going to use a 5 or 6 spd trans so that you can road trip this right? Such as Power Tour.
What comp ratio will you end up with (and what fuel)?
What power are you expecting, 700hp? 750hp?
Yes, the thinner spokes up front on the lower narrower tires up front and the deep heavier wheels on the massive rear tires is how I am going. Part of the plan is to incorporate the different rim diameters in the look and feel of the rake of the car. Since the wheel wells on the car are cut higher in the front than the rear I plan on matching the distance between the top edge of the rims front and rear by using the different rim diameters. They will be about 2 inches above the rims front and rear with a total rake of between 2 to 3 inches higher in the rear. So no gasser look. The front will be close to stock height with an overall slightly higher look.
I have a 6 speed auto that is The same as last year's F150 and Mustang feeding 4.56 gears and 29 inch tall rear tires.
The comp ratio is 11.2 and can run 89 octane and up thanks to the EFI on the engine. I plan on running 93 pump gas most of the time. The engine was dynoed and tuned 2 weeks ago with both 93 pump and 110 ULR. The results are 723hp/716lbf on 93 and 748/733 on 110 at the flywheel. The total weight of car components is now known @ 2764 lbs!!!
Edited: I put in the wrong axle ratio and now corrected.
