Re: Nintendo was right about the Wii U. We were wrong.
What do you mean the most vocal nerds were wrong? This never happens...

Re: Icrontic Detroit D&D: The Chronicle
Seven adventurers were called; each carried a mysterious gem. Each of them was told to bring it to a certain bar in the city of Dagger Falls
A warlock, a paladin, a warrior, a monk, a thief, a druid, and a bard; all strangers. All called to a bizarre tavern with no idea of what was to befall them.
It started in that tavern (doesn't it always) and before the night was over, these seven intrepid adventurers found themselves battling a massive undead Naga, countless skeletal warriors, and a troop of angry goblins while trying to protect a matronly elven priestess as she performed a ritual to her gods. As endless waves of enemies continued to hammer away at the unlikely team, death seemed inevitable. First one, then another, and the priestess herself all fell to the neverending onslaught.
Then, a miracle. Just when things seemed hopeless, the priestess' ritual completed and a mysterious sphere of light descended upon the group as they huddled to face their doom together. Suddenly, all were transformed into birds and a hasty escape was made.
Miracles indeed.
See you in a month for the next chapter!
Re: Icrontic Detroit D&D: The Chronicle
Not readily apparent in these pictures was
- Amazing selection of Canadian import chips and snacks, not to mention gourmet donuts
- 5 hours of dick and fart jokes thinly veiled as roleplaying

- Mildly racist voice work by me the DM
- Bizarre NPCs like a Caribbean Harper, Fat Elf priestess of Lathander and a talking undead snake named Steve
- 110 degree heat
- The phrase 'Just stand on the gods damn light' yelled at nearly every party member in turn in the nearly total party kill to a simple zelda-style puzzle room.
- Actual body ache the next morning from laughing for 5 hours straight.
Thanks to all that could join the game. It was an amazing time.

Re: League of Legends anyone?
So I got the League itch a few nights ago after a long shift at Pan Am.
Played my ranked qualifications got into Silver IV (This is garbage for me I've usually qualified for S2)
Today I decided to officially lay out my best roles and the champs that I enjoy the most and excel at within those roles (Usually I pick whomever I feel like, obviously this is bad for ranked play)
My win rate has increased exponentially and I got into Silver III in a single evening.

Nintendo was right about the Wii U. We were wrong.
It's so true. At Icrontic gatherings where we have 5, 10, 20, 55 people over, nobody EVER gathers 'round the ol' Playstation or Xbox. The only console that consistently gets groups of people together in front of the TV, laughing their asses off, waiting in line to play games like Art of Balance, Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Super Mario Bros, etc.... is the Wii U. It's just a blast.
