Re: Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
I really really don't want her to be a Skywalker. For one thing, incest?? Secondly, I actually really like the idea that she doesn't come from some sort of epic lineage. She's just a normal person with normal crappy parents who rose above that to become a hero.
But if she's got to have the lineage, I'd vote a Kenobi.

I'm gonna go with this theory:The rise of Skywalker refers to Kylo Ren. It's his redemption. He is literally a Skywalker, and as much as everyone wants Rey to be one, she's not.
I'm sticking to it.
Which is why I'm still on the Kenobi train for Rey. A Kenobi that ends up helping a Skywalker back from the dark side.

Oh I don't think that's a little detail. I think it's a very deliberate, tight camera shot on the hilt during the trailer, which makes it very clear that it's Luke's lightsaber. Extremely intentional.

Re: Avengers: Endgame. HYPE. TRAIN. ROLLING
Interesting point-- apparently people were mad about how much makeup Brie Larson has on in the movie, and came down hard on the directors. The makeup was Brie's choice, though- one she now regrets. She filmed the Avengers stuff before her own movie, so she didn't yet have a good feel for the character.
