Post your 3DMark03 Benchmarks

edited August 2010 in Hardware
I noticed all the 3DMark03 based threads were a bit few and far between, so I thought I would start an official 'post your score' thread for easy reference.

Here's my latest, taken today. ATI Catalyst 4.2's. Everything stock.

DEAR GOD croc!!! I was hoping to come back and be in the lead for a bit more, forget that. I have my card just about maxed out (about 5mhz more for core and ram each, maybe a bit more than that) and I'm having trouble getting my 3000+ to run over 2500 mhz and over 410 fsb. Somethings up and I'm not sure what it is. I'll have to sit down for a few and figure it out.

//edit- Threw in the Aquamark for fun.

Nvidia came out with the 5800ultra months late supposedly to dominate the Radeon 9700pro, it didn’t do it. As far as the statistics and I am concerned those two cards were for the most part neck and neck given the bottle-neck except for (ps2.0 performance) affecting both cards in different ways. But the 9700pro certainly had better hardware design for pixel shader 2.0, hence better performance in certain games, and benchmarks alike. But the lead is not that great as the hype (Ati vs Nvidia) would have one imagine. Nvidia simply made the mistake of not using a 256bit DDR2 memory for the 5800ultra. So Ati comes out better in this scenario, and its ps2.0 hardware is definitely superior. I have done some benchmarking of my own to make sense of purchasing one of these new cards such as the ATI 9800XT and the Nvidia FX5950Ultra, to replace my year old 5800ultra. After a couple hours benchmarking, I see no reason to purchase either of the new high end cards period, wait for the new Radeon and Nvidia cards to come out by the fall. Unless you just have unlimited funds to play with or you are just an idiot. Because of the benchmark scores I got compared to the two cards reviewed, I decided that I’m definitely waiting because the next generation NV40 should be what the original 5800ultra was supposed to be, that’s for sure. Ati has got great cards also, but the new Nvidia cards will put Ati back in second place, where they always were when it comes to computer games and graphics. “As it was in the beginning, so shall it be in the end.”

You can't really say anything until both ATi's and Nvidia's new chips are released. I am not biased to either company, but look at what you jsut said about NV40 and look at what happened with the FX series and the hype behind that "supposed" Radeon killer. I think its safe to say only that both of the new chips are going to kick @$$.

edit: I also remember Nvidia saying awhile back that they would be shifting more towards their chipset development, and not so much the gpu development. I guess they changed their minds?

croc, nvidia has bigger engineers than ati in the business, and besides this is the only way that they could take back their spot, by producing a superior product to Ati, for real

They do indeed, and yet they still managed to make a crap product. They sorta cleared that up by releasing the 5900's, but it was a little too late. Maybe now they will get it right the first time.
