I just hit a brick wall. Those 2 huge 600 point gromacs work units I'm currently crunching both had to start over after some funky stuff was happening with the power... It kinda faded out a few time for like half a second. With no UPS on this computer, my WU's got corrupted. It took this computer DAYS to get halfway through those things, and now they're back at the start.
Weedo, Lord_Night, you shall have no challenge in passing me. I hope I never get one of these again. They take ~100 megs each. :banghead:
Sorry to hear that TheGr81. That has happened to me several times, just as you described. It's a real bummer. It always happened to me on those 14xx Gromacs which took about 8 days to fold on my best rig. I just had to keep on folding through it. I fold in fear of it happening again at anytime, but I'm on a roll right now.
There's still a little breathing room between us. Keep on keeping on.

TheGr81 both me and Weedo had that for several days at the same time. high end Gromacs that killed our rigs on folding time. even the dedicated 3ghz one I have. those things just suck the life out of any rig.
Lord_Night is pulling up pretty fast and looks like before end of Jan i will be in his slipstream. Leaps and bounds to you, but miinkie aint going down without a fight .......

Looks like I will be able to resume the good fight with Lord_Night JUST behind me. These 2 WU's are projected to finish tomorrow, within 10 minutes of each other. Another 1200 points will separate us... BUT, between HL2 and WoW on my ONLY folding rig... It's only a matter of time.

miinkie is holding a lead rather well for now. and with a 214 day projected take over sometime in late 2005 should be good

Well I've managed to get my brother and friend addicted to World of Warcraft (and there's still HL2DM) so there's really nothing stopping me from getting squished by folding trains and Weedos. There's no chance my computer will finish the next two (600 point AGAIN) gromacs in 11 days (projected takeover) when it only folds 6 hours a day... If at all. :bawling:
Wow... for the first time since about 6 months ago, gaming>folding for my poor processor even though it stays on at night, since my bro sometimes plays WoW while I sleep. It sucks having the only computer in the house even capable of playing these games.
